On the rocks...

I love that Rilo can walk now because it means we can play outside, even if it's a little wet.  We went to the back and played on the rocks.  She would not even look at me because the rocks were clearly cooler than me.

I'm loving this age right now.  She's so funny and is starting to understand and observe so much.  For example, before nap/nighttime I turn on her noise machine since her room is right off our office.  I normally just turn the dial with my shoe since it's on the floor and I don't want to bend down.  Well yesterday we were playing in her room and she walks over to the noise machine, balances on one foot and attempts to turn it on with her foot.  Ha, so cute. 

She is thinks it's hilarious to burp.  She can make herself burp too.  The other day we were playing on my bed and she looked at me, leaned forward, burped and then laughed so hard at herself.  Haha.  Love little Lo.

Rilo's Birthday Party

She somehow knew to blow the candle out at the right moment!

She was such a little ham during the party.  She smiled and danced and talked for everyeone!  She had her first taste of cake and somehow managed to swipe some cookies.  Poor girl's body couldn't handle it...she's never really had sugar like that.  We try and feed her mostly organic and healthy foods so I think it must have been a shock to her system.  Later that evening she barfed alllll over our living room rug.  Yuck! 

This Morning...

This is what we are up to this morning.  Making a huge mess and playing with everything she owns.

Backyard

Rilo loves to be outside so yesterday we went to the backyard to play.  She loved just walking all around the yard.  She was so serious and concentrated on walking on the uneven ground....It was pretty funny  She kept looking down the whole time, watching where she was going.  These pictures took some real effort to get her to look up at me!

Rilo's Words

We took this video a little bit ago of her saying "dog", "cat", "ball" and "dad.  She also plays the "Mom-Dad" game with me.  She still has NEVER said "mom" when I've asked her to say it.  Not even once.  She only says "mom" when she is sad.  Sometimes she says the words as clear as a bell but this is not one of the times...You can still get the idea though.








My favorite is anytime she sees a cat or dog in one of her books, she has to hug and kiss the page.  I don't know where she got the idea but it's pretty cute.  She can also recognize all the words she says in picture form.  Way to go Rilo!

Rilo Turns One!

Happy birthday yesterday little Rilo Jane!  We will be doing her 1 year photos in the next few days and I will get up the official post.  But here are some pictures of what she looks like at 1 year!

iPhone Friday

Rilo has been insisting on sitting in big girl chairs, all by herself.

This next photo melts my heart.  Rilo woke up from her nap last week and was still really sleepy.  So I tried rocking with her in the chair and she eventually fell asleep like this.  She hasn't fallen asleep on me when it wasn't nap time since she was 3 months old.  I was in heaven!

Digging

Nicole was so nice to watch Rilo when I was a in a bind the other day.  She just sent me this set of photos from when she was watching her.  I've actually never seen Rilo do this, so I was cracking up!

My Little Valentine

My Mom and fam sent this adorable little Valentine's Day outfit for Rilo.  She looks like such a big girl in her sneakers.  I loved following her all around, stomping in her sneaks.

Dying over this next series of photos.  She saw a binky on the floor and decided this was the way to get it.

Swings

I've been dying to take Rilo on the swings...I just knew she would love it.  And she did!  She was the happiest girl!

Dinner Date

On Saturday we went out to eat at one of our favorite local places, Rooster.  We took these near the restaurant.  I love the series of faces she is making...not sure what she is looking at!

Oops!  Since I never posted yesterday, I will come back sometime today and put up a few more pictures and maybe even a video to make up for it!

Adam brought theses sunglasses home and Rilo thought they were so fun.  She loved wearing them and especially loved when I would wear them and play peekaboo with them.

Rilo found my new roll of wrapping paper and immediately thought to put it to her mouth and talk into it. Hilarious for both of us!

A few days later, I found her doing the same thing!
