Grandma Mary

Adam's Mom came and stayed with us last week.  It was so nice to have a little help around the house.  We ate lots of yummy meals while she was here.  And most importantly, Rilo got to finally meet her Grandma Mary!

Two Months

Last Tuesday, Rilo turned two whole months!  I just know she's going to be 10 before I know it.  She is growing so fast.

She loves to talk, talk, talk!  I can't help but smile when I hear her little baby noises.  She holds her head up really well and likes to stand and check out the world.  Her favorite place is the changing table.  She could be crying and crying but as soon as you stick her on the changing table, she's all smiles.  She still loves bath time and thinks its funny when I make her arms and legs splash in the water.  Here she is at 2 months:

I know exactly what sound she is making in the above picture.  I just love it when she talks!

2 Month Checkup

Little miss Rilo Jane had her 2 month checkup yesterday.  She was a champ, despite getting her shots!  She is in the 75th percentile for height, weight and head size, so at least she's very proportionate!  She is 11 lbs. 12 oz. and 23 inches.  Doctor said everything is great!

Here are some pictures of her at the doctors.  Get ready for the cutest little chub.  Here she is weighing 3 lbs. over her birth weight.

Rilo was hamming it up for the doctor.  She was all smiles and baby sounds.

Then there were the shots.  Talk about a cry to break a mother's heart.  But after a minute of crying, she looked like this.  Happy and adorable!  She was a little more sleepy than normal, but other than that, she was herself the rest of the day.

I can't get over how much I love this little girl.  I really can't believe it has been 2 whole months!

Baby Chair

Grandma Mary (Adam's Mom) is here staying with us for the week.  She brought up the Pottery Barn Kids Chair and I think it is so cute!

I love this stage because if she isn't smiling, she looks as serious as can be!

On A Walk

We went on a walk a few days ago and ran into 3 of our cute little friends; Zoe, Ava and Lola.  One of the little girls was observing Rilo in the stroller while I was talking to the other moms.  She suddenly yelled out "Mom, he's dripping.  He's dripping!".  Yes, my child is definitely a spitter (or a dripper as a 3 year old calls her).   And even though Rilo had a bow in her hair, the little blue jacket apparantly threw the little girl off.  She couldn't believe it when we told her Rilo was actually a girl.  I wish I could've captured the shocked look on her face!

Took a billion photos and only got a few keepers.  Rilo was content, but not in any kind of mood to smile!  Here she is, ready to box someone.

Chub

A few weeks ago, I didn't have any pictures of the two of us and now I have plenty!  I love her little chubby body! Again, pictures by Melanie. 

Yeah, I'm blinking in these last two, but I love them anyway!

Edit: Haha, I guess that phrasing may have been a bit confusing.  I like Rilo's chubby body, NOT Melanie's.  Melanie does not have a chubby body.  Thanks anonymous!
