Daredevil

This girl really has no fear.  It's hard to tell from these photos, but she is climbing up the blocks on a little wall that drops off.  She loved it...she even scraped her leg and didn't even make a peep.  We didn't notice until after she was done playing.  She also like jumping off into Daddy's arms.  And how cute is her dress?  It has this darling matching headband but she only wore it for part of the day. 

iPhone Friday + 15 Month Update

Okay, I finally got around to writing on update on Rilo Jane at 15 months.

The biggest thing that has happened in the last few weeks has been her putting phrases together.  Every day she puts a new one together.  Here are some of the ones she consistently says and knows the meaning of:

" Want more water"
" Want that/this"
" Where'd it go?"
" NO, don't want it" (love that one...such a sass!)
" No, stop it" (referring to me taking something from her, ha)
" What's dis/dat?"
" Uh-oh, dropped it"
"Help please, mama" (this one isn't clear like the other ones, but she says it the exact same way every time)

I think I'm missing a couple, but I can't think of them right now.  I think right now her favorite word is "water" or "water bottle".  She loves the bath, pool, toilet, dog bowl, etc.  Pretty much anything involving water.  My favorite is when she asks for water, takes a sip and then dumps it on the floor...then she likes to try to lick it up.  Gross!

As you have noticed by all the pictures, she is still very into shoes.  I think it's funny because I don't make a big deal about shoes at all.  I might try on different outfits, but rarely shoes.  So it's just something she discovered on her own!  She literally parades around in them, takes them on/off and admires them.  Right now, most of Adam and my shoes are out of our closet.

She loves giving hugs and loves, especially to Adam in the morning...it's pretty cute.  She also thinks, because we always say "Love you, bye" to Adam when he leaves, that saying "love you" means someone is leaving.  She always follows up with "bye" or "buh-bye".

She is as friendly as they come.  Everyone gets a "hi" and a "bye".  She loves baby Hadlee and I think she does a pretty good job of being soft and sweet with her.  I like when she says Hadlee's name or gets concerned when she's sad.

If you ask her what her name is, she is sure to tell you Rilo.  She also does the noises for a bird, dog and sometimes cow/cat/duck.  She finishes the sentences in some of her favorite books.  And she says "five" when I count to five.

I'm always amazed at what she picks up.  I don't really push anything, but I'm always talking to her and reading to her so I think that helps.

Heart Romper

I really need to write these posts earlier, so I can give you a proper update, but I'm about to hit the hay.  I'll do my best tomorrow, but I'm making no promises!

I just bought Rilo these new shoes and she loves them.  She takes them on and off all day long and prances around in them.  Such a little shoe girl.

She's dancing for you here.  She's twirling!

Also, she's eating a little piece of my protein bar...which was chocolate...which she loved.  Of course, she is my child afterall.

Who Wears Short Shorts?

Yesterday we spent the day at the pool and did a little Memorial Day shopping.  I have lots of little stories to type out about Rilo, but I am STILL feeling sick (it's been 2 weeks!) so I will have to write them down tomorrow.

Don't know what's up with the finger in her mouth on most of these...

She's really into wearing my shoes these days...

Saw this desk at a thrift store and grabbed it.  It is a blessing and a curse.  She LOVES it and played with it ALL day yesterday, however she also discovered she can pull that little chair all over the house and climb up onto things she can't normally climb onto. 

Squirrel + B/W

Maybe Rilo is some sort of animal whisperer.  Yesterday this squirrel came right up to the branch that is in front of our porch and had a conversation with Rilo for at least 5 minutes.  It just kept making noises at her forever.  She just stared with fascination.

Bouncer

Rilo is pretty much in love with anything that has a buckle.  Car seats, strollers, grocery carts...if it has a buckle, she loves it.  Which is why she is obsessed with baby Hadlee's bouncer.  Every day when we go to play with Josie and Hadlee, Rilo spends much of her time with the bouncer.

She's also discovered she can climb into it.  It reminds me of this hilarious site, Too Big for Stroller.  Anyway, here she is.

As I was taking these photos, Josie saw the camera, stopped, posed and said "cheese". Ha, what a ham.
