Playdate

The weather really has been gorgeous here.  The other day I took Rilo on an outside playdate.  We brought a blanket and toys and just enjoyed the nice weather.

Did you know Rilo has magical powers?  Me neither, but I guess she thinks so.

And apparantly she did not like whatever car just drove by.

Sunday Sprinkle

We went to take some pictures this past Sunday but it started to sprinkle.  Hence the umbrella!

Rilo's Plot to Rule the World

She seems innocent enough...

...but then she gets to thinking.

And then she starts plotting...

...and scheming...

and then counting down the days until she can execute her plan.

But she'll probably deny it.  "Who me?" she'll say.

And she'll go back to looking innocent.

But I know better...I'll be keeping my eye on her.

Watermelon

The weather has been significantly cooler this past week.  I took these pictures a week and half ago when it was still super warm and summery!  Love this little watermelon outfit!

Paul Frank Jammies

I'm skipping iPhone Friday because I have an abundancy of photos yet to post!  Tali spotted these jammies and had to get them for Rilo.  They are soooo cute!

Second Try

The second try went a little better, as evidenced by these pictures!

Rilo's First Food: Avocado

A few days ago, we introduced Rilo to her first solid food.  We chose avocado.  Avocado is great because it doesn't need to be prepared, is rich in nutrients and has an interesting texture.  She had a blast playing with it.  And when she finally got it in her mouth, well, you'll see her reaction.

Rilo loves taking drinks from cups, water bottles and sippy cups.  She holds it with her two hands and lifts it to take a sip.  Very cute.

And here she goes with the avocado.  We are doing Baby Led Weaning, which essentially means she is running the show.  She gets to feed herself and explore the new world of food.  I really like it because I really believe kids learn best when they explore on their own (with supervision of course).

It's gotten better each time we've fed her!  Next up, green beans and sweet potato!
