Rilo at Alicia's Reception

Earlier in August I went to my friends wedding reception.  My Mom was nice enough to watch Rilo, bring her to the reception for a little bit, and then take her back home so I could enjoy the evening.  Rilo met a little boy there and they "played".

Rilo in Santa Cruz

I know I know, sorry family and friends, but we were moving and I was without internet!  I just got some film back so I have stuff set for the whole week.

These 2 make me laugh...Tali blinked in the one and Jess is talking in the other.  Oh well, check out the beautiful ocean!

VIDEO: Animal Noises

Rilo has had all the basic animal noises down for awhile now, so we've been working on some other fun ones.  Like a turkey, snake, and my favorite (which my Mom taught her) the "mean kitty".  I couldn't really think of all the new ones we've learned when filming this, but here are some old and new ones.  She's pretty quick to learn...it only takes one time for her to hear something and be able to repeat it (which is both a good and bad thing ha).

Growing Up

I was just looking through photos of Rilo and I can't get over how BIG she has gotten!  I may or may not have cried.  I found a few more photos Yan took before we left for the summer and I can see such a difference in just a few months.  I never shared these but I love the glimpse into her gummy little mouth, with those few little teeth poking through.  She now has 6 on top and 3 on the bottom!

Park

Rilo and I have been exploring a bit since our friends have left St. Louis.  We found a new park the other day and went to check it out.  The weather was absolutely perfect that day!

PA Trip

We've been back in PA this past week because I had a wedding on Friday and a reception on Saturday.  My family has been so great, helping me out with Rilo because I have been running around everywhere!  Rilo had so much fun and I know she's going to miss everyone.

Now that we've hit up PA a billion times this summer, we are definitely trying to plan trips to CA and AZ!

Rilo is peering over the couch at Kitty.  This was one of her favorite things to do.  She also learned that a mean kitty says "hissss".  Haha.

I painted Rilo's toes for the 1st time.  She sat really still and then talked about her pretty toes.

GiGi and Poppy bought Rilo a stroller.  I truly think 90% of her time was spent pushing this thing around everywhere.  And no one else is allowed to touch it, so don't even think about it.

Just getting some after bath lotion!

CA Pt. 2

This flight attendant was awesome.  We were in the last row in the back and he was stuck in a jumpseat between the bathrooms.  At the end of the flight, he let Rilo play with the phone.  You know the one they use to make announcements on.  So while everyone was exiting the plane, they got to hear Rilo saying "hi" and "buh-bye".  She was loving life!

Hanging out with Poppy Cyle.  Sidenote: Cyle's Grandpa name was supposed to be G-pa but Rilo keeps calling him Poppy.  So Poppy it is...haha.

Captain Rilo!  And apparently this girl will NOT hang out in a lifejacket.  She threw the biggest tantrum I've ever seen until someone finally told us we could take it off her if we just watched her carefully.  We took it off and she was immediately happy.

CA Trip Pt. 1

I have a bunch of iPhone photos to post from our trip to Santa Cruz, CA.  Here is the first round!

This has to be the nicest cat I've ever encountered.  Knuckles was so happy to let Rilo give love.

We went to this little hands on marine lab.  Rilo liked touching all the sea creatures.

Rilo took this little stool from the hands on section and carried it around to all the other parts of the lab so she would be tall enough to see.  She's so creative...I love that she thought of that herself.
