Christmas Jammies

I thought that day after Thanksgiving was a good time to bust out the Christmas jammies.  I'll have to get some better pictures in them later.

Oh, and Rilo had her 9 month appointment last Tuesday.  I think all the standing up and squatting down and walking around the furniture is starting to slim her down.  Adam and I were noticing her thighs are less chunky.  Even still, I was expecting her to weigh in around 21 pounds.  She just feels solid.  But she only weighs 18 lbs. 9 oz. (45th percentile) and is 27 3/4 inches (57th percentile).

iPhone Friday: Thanksgiving Week

I'm signing off early for the Thanksgiving holiday.  Lots of baking, eating, crafting and playing should be going on the rest of the week!

We are loving our porch swing.  We cozy up in blankets and watch the cars pass!

And Rilo tormenting playing with Sawyer.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Nine Months

It's hard to believe that Rilo has been an outside baby as long as she was an inside baby.  Time has literally flown by.  All my life I dreamed about being a mom... and I never dreamed it would feel this good.  Rilo makes me happier than I could ever imagine.  I love that she has made Adam a dad.  There isn't anybody else I'd rather share this parenting experience with!

At nine months Rilo:
  • FINALLY sleeps from 7:30-4:30, eats and then goes back down until 7:30.  This is a HUGE improvement from waking up every 1-3 hours all.night.long.  Woohoo!!
  • still is toothless
  • is faster than fast at crawling and is such a cute little trouble maker.  How is it that babies always know what they're not supposed to play with?!
  • loves to read books, with or without us.  Reading is pretty much the only time she will stay still.  She definitely has books that she prefers over others.  If she's in her room, she's either playing with her noise machine or flipping through books lately.
  • is going through a stubborn eating stage.  She wants to eat whatever we're eating and she wants to do it herself.  Luckily she is pretty skilled with the spoon!
  • can stand for a few seconds on her own and is pretty much always standing on some piece of furniture.  Her thighs are starting to slim down (slightly) because she has discovered how to squat, stand up, squat and repeat.
  • is so happy swinging outside with us on the porch swing.

Showing off her 9 month skills!

Check out this squat!

And trying to figure out how to get down.

Check out this awesome spit bubble!

And pouting because she couldn't figure out how to get down!

My Coat

Check out Rilo in my little coat and bonnet.  Love!

I probably should've buttoned up the coat so it looked like it fit her (which it does) but we were freezing!

iPhone Friday

Rilo has been really cute in the mornings lately.  I was watching Adam and Rilo giggle and laugh with each other.  It was so sweet!

Front Yard

Now that our new fence is in, we've been spending a little time in the front yard before it gets too cold.

"Look Mom, no hands!"

Josie and Rilo in St. George

Love these little tubbies in the tub.  They are both so cute!

(Don't mind that I spent no time editing these for their horrible white balance issues)

Winter Hat

My Mom got this hat (with matching mittens) to match with Rilo's snowsuit.  Luckily we don't have snow (yet), but it has gotten pretty cold around here.  Rilo is surprisingly great at keeping her hat on!
